Susto

Another sweet warehouse session coming to you straight from Nectar HQ! Our most recent visitors, Justin Osborne and his band SUSTO, is just more proof that Charleston is home to an overwhelming number of talented, down-to-earth musicians that are on the rise (and love their NECTAR sunglasses). When we caught up with Justin, here’s what he shared with us...

What is your connection to Nectar?

I live in Charleston and I wear Nectar sunglasses. I met the folks at Nectar through my band SUSTO.

What are you currently working on?

Well, I recently released an album called Ever Since I Lost My Mind, so I’m currently in the “album cycle” for that record touring and doing press in support of it. I’m also working on a new album, which I can’t name at the moment, and I’m a new father.

How would you describe your music?

I would say it’s a mixture of Alternative Rock/Folk/Psychedelic music. There’s also a bit of a humanist spiritual tinge.

What does your SWEET LIFE look like?

I’m living it to be honest. I live in a beautiful city, close to the ocean and I have an incredible family and friend group. I also am fortunate to travel and play music for a living, which I love.

Where can people find your music?

We are available pretty much everywhere! I would definitely encourage people to check out our tour dates and come experience SUSTO live!

What is your go-to pair Nectar Sunglasses?

The Matte Black Palms

What is the most epic / funny / or scary story that has happened to you on the road?

I once went skydiving on LSD outside of Chicago. This was crazy enough as is, but it also happened to be during the Skydiving World Championships, which only happens every few years. It was being held at the same place I was jumping, so it was a crazy scene to be a part of, heightened by Psychedelics (haha). It was amazing, but I’d never do it again.

  • I LOVE my Nectar sunglasses and Thank You for sharing such a nice video. I’ve never heard of Susto before but I will be looking or listening for them in the future. Really nice. And your HQ looks pretty cool too. Anyways, just wanted to say thanks for the sunglasses, the music from Susto and for caring about the bee’s. They really need our help.
