Single Use Plastic waste
Our process begins by sorting single use plastic bottles and food containers.
Process and refine
The recycled plastics are shredded, cleaned and refined into workable pellets.
The pellets are then used during our molding process to produce new frames.
The end result - a 100% recycled frame that helps reduce the amount of single use plastics from ending up in our environment.
Why Recycled Plastic?
"In August of 2019, I took a bucket list surf trip to the Maldives. It was a magical experience and it seemed like a fake world of dreamy waves everywhere I looked. The moment that stuck with me the most, was seeing a white capped reef in person while snorkeling one afternoon. Nothing was thriving like I had imagined. The captain of the boat said that this same reef was fully alive 10-15 years ago and now, it was completely dead. This hit me to my core. I knew I had to figure out a way for our business to produce products more sustainable for our oceans and the environment.
My journey to produce products that are fully sustainable started as soon as I got back from the trip. After a year of research and product development, I am proud that 90% of our product lines are now produced using fully recycled and sustainable materials. The ocean was my first love and I feel obligated to protect it. This is just the beginning of a life long journey."Sean Holmes - Founder
The Sad Truths
One million plastic bottles are bought every minute.
About 91% of plastic is not recycled.
Every minute of every day a truckload of plastic is dumped into the ocean. (This equals 1440 truckloads a day.
There could be more plastic than fish in the ocean by 2050.
Sea life consumes our plastics, and then we eat the sea life.
The average person eats over 40 lbs. microplastics in their lifetime.
This is just the beginning
